Previously, I wrote an article about the first half of the top ten teams in baseball heading into the 2022 season. This will be part two of my list, which includes the top 5 best teams in the MLB.

To start off this top 5 list, I have the Chicago White Sox. This team is absolutely loaded with young talent with Tim Anderson, Luis Robert, and Yermín Mercedes. This is one of the most well rounded teams in the MLB. They can hit well, they can pitch well, and they can field well. The heart of the batting order for the Sox will continue to mash this season. I expect Luis Robert to lead this team on the offensive side while Anderson does on the defensive side. Their bullpen is also great, featuring Crochet, Hendriks and Kimbrel.

At number four sits the Atlanta Braves. This team was absolutely magical last year in their championship run. Every single player contributed to their success. Their batting lineup is as solid as steel,,featuring Acuña, Albies and Olson. Sure, you could also say that the loss of Freeman really affected this team, but I honestly don’t think that will matter at all. Olson will pick up right where Freeman left off and the Braves have a great chance of returning to the World Series.

At number three, I have the Tampa Bay Rays. There’s not much to say about this Rays team because all they do is produce wins. With the former number one prospect in the MLB, Wander Franco, heating up, this Rays offense will be amazing. Their rotation is also loaded with Glasnow and Kluber leading. The Rays are criminally underrated and will continue to shock the baseball world in 2022. I expect the Rays to reach the World Series but I don’t know if they will be able to compete with the number one team on this list.

At number two, I have the Toronto Blue Jays. This team would be a clear first if it wasn’t for the absolute monstrosity of the team at number one. They’re stacked. The Blue Jays have a killer offense in Springer, Bichette and Guerrero Jr. Guerrero Jr, coming off an MVP caliber season, will continue to demolish baseballs. Bichette and Springer will be one of the best one, two, punches in the league. Their rotation is also loaded. They have reigning Cy Young award winner, Robbie Ray, and Cy Young candidate Kevin Gausman. These are arguably the two best starters in the American League. This Blue Jays team is special and they have a great chance at taking the trophy to Toronto.

At number one, probably one of the most stacked teams ever, The Los Angeles Dodgers. Where do I even start with this team? This is pretty much a superteam because it consists of so many former all stars. Eight of the nine players in the field, depending on the pitcher, will be an all star. The only exception is Will Smith, who will no doubt be an all star in the years to come. With the power of Betts and Freeman, and with the speed of Turner, this team will achieve greatness. I haven’t even talked about their rotation yet, which may be the most impressive one in the MLB. It consists of former Cy Young winners Clayton Kershaw and Trevor Bauer. It also contains bright young stars in Dustin May, Julio Urias and Walker Buehler. Together, I have this Dodgers team winning the World Series in 2022.
